Neutral Immersion Bath

Posted by admin in Medical Hall

This bath can be given from 15 to 60 minutes at a temperature ranging from 260C to 280C. It can be given for long duration, without any ill-effects, as the water temperature is akin to the body temperature. The neutral bath diminishes the pulse rate without modifying respiration.

This treatment is the best sedative. Since the neutral bath excites activity of both the skin and the kidneys, it is recommended in cases relating to these organs. It is also beneficial for cases of organic diseases of the brain and spinal cord, including chronic inflammatory conditions such as meningitis, rheumatism and arthritis.

A neutral immersion bath taken for 30 to 60 minutes is highly beneficial in general dropsy, due to cardiac or renal diseases. It also helps those suffering from multiple neuritis, alcoholism and other narcotic habits, chronic diarrhoea, peritonitis and chronic affections of the abdomen. In such cases the bath may be given daily for 15 to 30 minutes.

This bath is also useful in the toxemic conditions caused by dyspepsia and pruritus. The neutral bath should not be prescribed in certain cases of eczema and other forms of skin diseases where water aggravates the symptoms, nor in cases of extreme cardiac weakness.

Web Design Tools - San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Japan

Posted by admin in House Of Websters

Web designing entails use of a whole gamut of tools - for text, graphics, menus, animation, navigation design, color selection, font selection, authoring, programming and ecommerce development. The use of technologically advanced and effective tools ensure that the website attracts target audience and lists high in the search engines and directories.

Different tools are used in different aspects of web designing. Text links use HTML meta tags, graphic links use graphics along with navigation buttons, drop down menus use JavaScript and CGI among others, and special effects need tools such as Macromedia Flash and Adobe Photoshop. By far, Macromedia and Adobe Photoshop are the most commonly used tools in web design. Certain graphic designers also use Macromedia DreamWeaver. Flash helps in animation that if used well, can be an attractive feature in a website. Visual Basic is the most common language for scripting and SQL with other database engines are used for database management on the website. Templates are also used for the layout of a web page.

Apart from tools that make the site presentable and easily navigable, there are also content creation tools that help in creating Search Engine Optimized content. A word or a phrase, based on the worldwide searches is rated on tools such as Overture. Once the most popularly searched words in your industry are identified and short-listed, the content creators write content using these search words. This ensures that your website lists high in the search engines and directories. A combination of the right HTML text, background images, and graphic images with the right and most legible typefaces and fonts are required if the website has to be popular among your target audience.

Web promotion and ecommerce tools help in marketing your website. Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Promotion, Loyalty Programs, Email Campaigns and Online Games are some tools used for website promotion. Tools such as site statistics software and reporting from site searches let you know what exactly your visitors are looking for. The content and marketing strategies are then adjusted accordingly.

Apart from the tools, designing a good website also requires the skills and expertise of a range of professionals. A web site must essentially be written, programmed, and designed for the end users. A site that is written, coded and designed for user friendliness and search engine visibility gets the most traffic and results in boosting sales. Again, understanding the products, services or information that your target audience is looking for is important in the design, maintenance and re-design of your website.

The Benefits of Aluminum Flagpoles

Posted by admin in Better Home Improvement

Aluminum flagpoles are the most popular flagpoles available, because they are strong, light, versatile and comparatively inexpensive. Appropriate for both commercial and residential purposes, they come in all styles and sizes, up to eighty feet or longer. An aluminum flagpole will stand up to most weather, with little to no wear and tear. You can buy one-piece or telescoping aluminum flagpoles, in any of a variety of colors, such as satin, natural, dark bronze, or black. Choose the color that best complements your home or company. If the pole ever gets dirty, a mild detergent should do the trick.

Aluminum flagpoles can be rigged with either an external or internal halyard system.

External systems have the rope and other rigging on the outside of the pole. This is a tried and true system, but prone to vandalism and sometimes noisy when the wind blows.

Internal systems keep the equipment on the inside where it is safe and quiet; the halyard is accessed through a hatch near the base of the pole. This is a more expensive option.

Aluminum flagpoles that are inground must be firmly rooted in a groundsleeve and concrete foundation to stay aloft. Be sure that at least ten percent of the pole’s length is underground, and that your flag is no longer than forty percent of the pole height.

If you buy a telescoping aluminum flagpole, be sure that the sections lock into place, rather than just wedge together. This will ensure stability in the event of high winds.

Flag poles Info provides detailed information on flagpoles of all types, including telescoping, fiberglass, commercial, residential, aluminum, tailgating, wall mounted, in ground, flagpoles for sale, and more. Flag poles Info is affiliated with Original Content Web.

Planning Special Events - Part Two - The Master Plan

Posted by admin in School of Management

“The master plan is the plan you create to ensure you have
covered your bases when planning your event. Doing so will
increase your chances of having a wildly successful outcome,
leading to more referrals, happy clients and more sales.” Heidi
Richards

1. Create your checklist. A checklist provides an organized
roadmap to executing your event. What resources will you need,
donations, people, money? - A sample checklist is included below.

2. Create a Timeline! This should be a part of the checklist and
is perhaps the most important component of the document that
will insure the success of your event. The timeline should
include items such as, when programs are printed, when
invitations/brochures should be printed and mailed, when to
start the media or publicity campaign, when to order
decorations. It includes registration deadlines. If it has not
already been determined, the timeline also includes the location
of the event.

3. Create your budget. This should include all revenue
opportunities (registration sales, tickets, donations,
sponsorship, concessions). It should also include expenses for
printing, lodging, food, supplies, security, speakers, permits,
insurance, postage and miscellaneous items yet to be determined.

4. Think about logistics. They include the size of space needed
for the event, setup (tables, chairs, parking, signs,
port-a-potty’s, tents), cleanup, emergency plans, transportation
and the services that are provided by police and fire
departments.

5. Promote the event. What is the major objective of the
publicity? Is it to raise awareness or attendance? Is it to
build good community relations? If you do not have a media list,
it is never too soon to start creating one. Whom do you know who
works for local print, radio and television? Whom do you know
who knows someone who does? If it is a local event, drawing on
the local community, find out if a local Media Guide or
directory is published. Many newspapers have these resources,
and so do many libraries. If it is a national event, look for
national media directories for assistance. There are several to
choose from. Some of the ones I use are: Gebbie Press All-in-One
Directory (1-845-255-7560), Bacon’s Media Catalog
(1-800-621-0561), and Bradley Communications (1-800-989-1400).
These directories are available on disk or books.

Here’s a step-by-step checklist to help you organize your event.

The Task:

___ Select members of the planning team. Include leaders of
specific events to be

completed by (date).

___ Develop the master plan by (date). This may include the
theme, location, etc.

___ Choose the date for the event by (date).

___ Select secondary team leaders (subcommittee chairs) for
logistics by (date).

___ Recruit or hire team members for logistics by (date).

___ Create your publicity/ media campaign. Alert the media of
photo and interview opportunities by (date).

___ Prepare the “copy” for print materials including program,
registration forms,

tickets, registration/ identification badges, ribbons, awards,
etc. by (date).

___ Plan the decorations by (date).

___ Develop the schedule of events. Distribute to each person on
the team. Review assignments.

___ Determine how registration will be handled and by whom.

___ Create an Emergency Plan in case the event has to be
cancelled or postponed.

___ Have a “dress rehearsal” of the event with all responsible
parties to review roles and responsibilities of entire team the
day before.

___ Have the Event!

___ Mail a copy of the program and thank you letter to sponsors
and supporters of the event as soon as possible after the event.

___ Send hand-written thank you notes to your host (employer)
and the team you worked with. If possible, include photos.

___ Evaluate the Event

Why Infrared Saunas Detoxify your body better than exercise or traditional saunas

Posted by admin in World Of Templates

For the ultimate in home health therapy the new Infrared Sauna
is sweeping the market for people who are looking for solutions
for stress relief, weight loss, skin purification, and even pain
management. The Infrared sauna offers cutting edge low heat
technology to help you comfortably sweat your toxins away while
at the same time allowing deep penetration of joints, muscles,
tissues, and increased oxygen and blood circulation. The
infrared sauna works by detoxifying the body and actually
ridding it of pollutants like aluminum, cadmium, lead and even
formaldehyde and other dangerous chemicals.

The secret to infrared saunas lies in their lower temperature
infrared heat waves emitted, which due to their longer
wavelength have the ability to penetrate deeper into the body’s
tissue. Japanese studies on Infrared saunas have concluded that
the sweat generated inside infrared saunas contains up to 300%
more toxins than sweat expelled during exercise or traditional
steam sauna use.

As your body stores waste and harmful toxins the regular use of
Infrared saunas can help rid you of these toxin build ups, and
burn up to 600 calories in a single infrared sauna session.
Infrared saunas help to purify your body cells and
detoxification is made safe and easy through the process of deep
tissue infrared heat and elimination sweating. Your whole family
can enjoy the safe benefits of using an Infrared sauna. Infrared
saunas are now used in health and healing facilities for a range
of health problems such as menopause, cancer pain, ulcers,
fibromyalgia, and insomnia. In addition, other alternative
healing practitioners have suggested Infrared sauna use for
hemorrhoids, cystitis, and cirrhosis of the liver, gastritis,
hepatitis, asthma, bronchitis, and it’s known to help with
allergies.

Infra
red saunas come today in custom sizes that are bound to fit
in most any room in your home. If you don’t think you have the
space it may be a pleasant surprise to know that you can even
purchase Infrared saunas in portable and blanket models. If you
feel your lifestyle could benefit from regular detoxification
and elimination of pollutants, including burning significant
calories in the process you owe it to your body’s health to
explore the many benefits of Infrared Saunas.

A beautiful mind is a simple mind!!

Posted by admin in Religion Parlor

In the movie “A Beautiful Mind” John Nash (played by Russell Crowe) is a schizophrenic math genius who struggles with is inability to have peace of mind. In one scene he bangs his head on the window until it bleeds begging his mind to slow down, all the while having a conversation with his imaginary room mate Charles.

Now hopefully none of us are schizo (and if you are keep it to your self) but at end of the summer we all could probably bang our heads against a wall wanting to quiet our minds and take a break. By now the kids are going back to school, to many chicken breasts on the grill and the daily down pours and humidity is making life crazy. In a funny way the last thing on our mind but the thing we want most is just a little peace and quiet.

While such a simple act, Jesus new the importance of quiet time. There are numerous accounts in the bible of Jesus just going into total solitude and prayer for rejuvenation. To bad we all don’t have forty days to spare. For most we just can’t seem to get a moment alone. Kids, jobs, errands you name it, the demands of life are relentless. Do you know after a twenty year study they have found through technology that we have more time for ourselves today than back then, 1.5 hours to be exact. Giving yourself even ten minutes of quiet time is like investing money in the bank it pays dividends long term if not immediately. Our minds are remarkable instruments, and the creator of our minds made them to work best in their simplest form. Some of the things Jesus practiced to make his life simpler were: delegation of duties, he had only a few not a lot of friends he confided in (with this came less demands on his time), practiced good listening skills, spent time in nature, and maybe most important had a servant’s heart.

We may never have a beautiful intellectual mind as that of John Nash, but we can give ourselves a wonder gift of a simple mind by allowing it to rest some each day. The biggest challenge for us this week may not be meeting a dead line at work, or making sure the kids have their school clothes for the year it just may be in the slowing down of our minds. Give yourself one of the greatest things you can this week, the gift of a simple mind. In turn you may just see how beautiful life can be.

Intro to Formula One Autosport

Posted by admin in Universe Of Shopping

In the beginning of the 1900s, F1 started with ancient racing vehicles & elder gentleman racing drivers, although the real F1 Racing title didn?t initiate until the 1950’s. Whilst the numerous years went by and the event expanded, it rapidly became apparent that Formula One was the peak championship for motor sport. The motor cars were the best, the equipment was the most developed and the racing drivers were at the tip of their health coming from countries all around the planet.

With the inclusion of sponsorship association, F1 Motor Racing took on it’s more world-wide structure and can without a doubt at present be perceived as being huge business ? with venture capital reaching millions & billions with great ease. With very big success arrives politic interest & at times it?s the people you are acquainted to and how much wealth you encompass that obtains you what you yearn for. Formula One Motor Racing is peppered with conspiracy stories ? I will confess to being one of them ? but depending on how engaged you yearn to get in the F1 world, that side of things is quickly overlooked. What in actuality matters is what transpires on the grand prix race track.

Trekking from pillar to pillar across the earth for anything of up to eight months of the year, Formula One stays countries large and small, affluent & destitute, with wonderful settings, beautiful residences & lots of local customs to be soaked up. A race weekend covers Friday, Saturday & Sunday, a Formula One Racing weekend is a tough ride, from early testing, to the dying laps of the Formula 1 motor race. For all the latest Formula 1 News go to F1Tribute.com now.

The basic formation embraces a F1 race every two-weeks. now and then the calendar is played with a little bit & there are F1 races on back-to-back weekends, or every now and then you have to go a few weeks before seeing the famous Formula 1 racing drivers again. Once it is time for another F1 race, you can scrutinize the news for your beloved constructor as they appear at their destination. Personal Injuries Resulting in Wrongful Death Cases

Posted by admin in Living With The Law

A wrongful death lawsuit alleges that the decedent was killed as a result of the negligence (or other liability) on the part of the defendant’s), and that the surviving dependents or beneficiaries are entitled to monetary damages as a result of the defendant’s conduct. Different states have their individual statutes that tackle the issues with regards to wrongful death. Moreover, many states do not follow the same guidelines when it comes to wrongful death cases.

As mentioned above, there is a variation in the laws enacted by each state pertaining to wrongful death. Two types of lawsuit are being adopted in hearing cases namely the “true” and the “survival acts.” Legalwolf.com offers this in-depth explanation of the two. Some states have “true” wrongful death acts in which the next of kin are entitled to bring a cause of action in their own names as a result of damages sustained following the decedent’s death. Other states have acts that are more properly called “survival acts,” which preserve the rights that vested in the decedent at the moment of death, expand those rights to include the right of the survivors to bring a claim based on the decedent’s rights, and include claims for damages resulting from the actual death itself. Finally, some states recognize both types of lawsuits, but generally have a provision that limits the right of the survivors in order to prevent a double recovery under the two different theories.

When a defendant is found legally liable for the death of another, the types of damages that may be recovered can also vary greatly. For example, the plaintiffs may be able to recover the costs of the deceased’s medical care and treatment related to the negligent conduct, the funeral expenses incurred for the deceased’s burial, the loss of future earnings of the deceased, the value of the loss of the deceased’s benefits (such as pension benefits or medical and health insurance coverage), the value of the loss of consortium, and general damages. Additionally, in a few states, the plaintiffs may be able to recover damages for pain and suffering or mental anguish that they experienced as a result of the death, as well as punitive damages.

Dressing for Senior Success

Posted by admin in Clothing

According to a recent article in the Wall St. Journal a “once hip generation of men has a problem: looking younger and ‘with it’ - but not foolish - as they begin to use their senior discounts.” Entitled “The Baby Boomer Fashion Crisis” the article went on to discuss the fit of clothes, appropriate fabrics, better eye glasses, trendy shoes, clothing colors and hair style tips. In spite of all of that, the article got me thinking about how we present ourselves to the world. What does the image we project say about us?

For instance, I love my jeans and sweatshirt. I can justify this attire almost anywhere. But, it occurs to me, that under some circumstances, others might find it ‘inappropriate’ if not offensive.

I recently visited the Catholic Church where I was a grade school altar boy. I remembered those Sunday mornings: a packed church, men in coats and ties, and women in dresses. Their best dresses. My Mom always wore a hat.

On this particular Sunday morning, the church was only 30% filled. Most of the male attendees sported sweatshirts with the name of their favorite football player printed on the back. Was that sacrilegious? Were they any less devout or strong in their faith than my parents? Were they disrespectful of their religion? I doubt it. I think that standards have changed.

Lest this sound like a justification for sloppy dress, more permissiveness or an ‘anything goes’ attitude let me make the point. As I age, I try to dress appropriately to my surroundings and be groomed. But, truth be told, I don’t think in terms of ‘hip,’ ‘fashionable,’ or ’stylish.’ (Note to my children: no comment.) Most of the time, I no longer care what someone else - anyone else - thinks is stylish. (See previous note.) I lean strongly towards what feels good, perhaps creates pleasant memories and is clean.

Have my standards changed? Or have I, like so many seniors, come to value other things far more than what meets the eye?

What is the Life Your Were Born To Live?

Posted by admin in Beauty

In my private practice for the past 15 years I have discovered
how hungry we are to find deep fulfillment and loving, make wise
choices for ourselves and the planet, and walk in union with our
higher guidance.

Yet our days are filled with endless, empty lists of have-tos,
shoulds, and must-dos. Quality time with our families, friends
and ourselves is precious but brief. We swallow our food fast and
information faster - and yet what our mind tells us does not
bring us peace, and what we eat does not fill us up.

Ask yourself, what truly brings you lasting fulfillment and joy?
What can you feed yourself that creates deep satisfaction? Which
voice do you listen to for guidance when the hounds of fear,
worry and anxiety are howling in your ears?

I believe this ‘missing’ enthusiasm and joy is found when we
discover our personal heaven and begin living heaven on earth.

Accustomed to your ordinary world view, you fail to realize that
another might exist beyond the dots of your to-do lists. Life
presents many opportunities, each one capable of expanding your
’seeing’ to encompass new possibilities.

I saw a major glimpse of my ‘heaven’ in 1987 during a 6 day
personal growth seminar. At the time I was living a life many
considered heavenly: happy marriage, two beautiful children,
wealthy lifestyle, and plenty of time to pursue my fancies. Yet,
in the wee hours of the morning my secret despair, loneliness and
fear woke me up night after night. Inside I knew the lie of my
‘happy’ life. I did not know the purpose for taking my next
breath. At the seminar when the facilitator began talking about
the banquet table of life I suddenly beheld this larger way of
living, this glimpse of heaven.

I wanted to bolt for the door.

The fear of facing the unknown ‘me’ inside was, at that time,
bigger than living out my lack-luster life. But this defining
moment did not fade from my memory. In time, I began the
sometimes scary journey of moving beyond the dot-based
experience, visioning my heaven and taking my steps.

Your heaven lies lurking just beyond those dots. And it takes an
inside job to fully experience it. But upon seeing
a glimpse of this larger reality do you abandon your dot-based
reality? No, because mastering the shift from ‘This is all there
is’ to ‘Look at all there is!” takes patience, practice,
guidance, willingness, grace, and time.

You can begin today.

Take a few minutes over the next week - schedule it right now in
your day timer of PDA.

*clear your desk
*turn off the phone
*light a candle
*have paper and pen available
*close your eyes
*take in a deep breath
*allow the greater part of you to begin showing you, like gazing
at a large movie screen, YOU living your personal heaven.

Be aware of how you feel as you ‘watch’ each area of your life
align with this expanded arena. What is the new experience of
your

*relationships?
*finances?
*career?
*health?
*creativity?
*spirituality?

Jot down those qualities: peace, joy, loving, ease, well-being,
energy, focus, caring, relaxation, radiant health, compassion…
or fear, sadness, regret. Accept whatever appears.

Step Two: If your heaven is available now, what do you need to
let go of in this moment to experience it?

Allow the answer to come forward easily.

Breathe in deeply and take that step. The life you were born
to live is waiting.
