Safety Officer Job Positions in Thailand

Posted by admin in Market, Travel Management

So you want to live in Thailand? Normally when people consider living in Thailand, they immediately think they must take up an English teaching placement to pay their way. While there are well paid English teaching jobs in universities like Thammasat or Chulalongkorn, the vast majority of such posts aren’t terribly well paid.

In fact, don’t anticipate a decent salary for any job requiring skills, teaching or not. It doesn’t sound very promising, but actually if you intend to live in the Land of Smiles for a year or two, such poorly paid jobs aren’t a worry because the cost of living is very low in Thailand, the infrastructure is arguably the best in this region of the world, it’s a safe country, and you can still climb up the career ladder because you can gain a great work experience in Thailand.

Yet there is an obscured dilemma that slowly presents itself after some time: you’ve been working in the Land of Smiles for 1 or 2 years, and you’ve accumulated decent work experience, your wage isn’t great, but so what : things are cheap in Thailand so no problem. HOWEVER, here’s the rub : You’ve been unable to save much money while you’ve been living in Thailand. Airfares look very over-priced compared to your pay in Thailand. The price of things in your home country gets to frighten you when thinking about your Thai wage slip. This problem hits a lot of non-Thai nationals in Thailand a year or two after starting work there. Lasting plans can often be delayed because you haven’t the savings to realise any ambition like purchasing a property, purchasing a car, or tieing the knot..

So, key point : when considering staying in Thailand, it’s smart to also consider that it is incredibly challenging to save substantial amounts of hard currency when considering the costs of “back home”.

All the same, not everything revolves around money, does it? You can gain a wonderful experience in Thailand, perhaps learn the language, make friends, travel around the country in your freetime, and acquire some precious overseas work experience.

So what sort of work placements can you secure in the Land of Smiles? Looking at jobs-quality.com - a site listing job positions around the Bangkok and Chonburi districts of Thailand - they have listed Human Resource work placements, Administration job positions, sales executive work placements, safety officer jobs in Thailand etc. Basically the types of work placements you’d discover in your home country. While most of these work placements may be seeking a Thai speaker, there are still English-speaking prerequisites for posts inside many international companies located in Thailand.
