When is work not really work? When it’s fun!
Using online forums, also called message boards, can be a fun way to promote your business in a low key way.
Benefits:
You cultivate relationships with others
You learn about all kinds of topics
Your marketing message is presented without screaming advertisement
By answering questions related to your topic, you are positioned as an expert in your field
How to Use a Forum for Promotion:
First, find a forum that is of interest to you and frequented by people in your target market. A great place to start is to go to ezboard.com and search for forums by keywords that reflect your target market.
Next, I suggest you “lurk” or just watch the activity for a few days to get a feel for the tone of the forum. When you feel confident this is an appropriate place to represent your business, introduce yourself. Often message boards have a ‘New Members’ type place to post your first message.
After you have been welcomed, scan through the topics and post answers to questions others may have about your area of expertise. Repeat daily or weekly.
Tips:
Of utmost importance is to have a signature line that is added to the end of each message you post. This is like your calling card, and is what makes this method so subtle. You may be posting a famous recipe, but everyone who checks it out will see your business name. Most forums have an account setting or options area where you can set up an automatic signature or you can cut and paste your signature each time, but this is much more cumbersome.
Don’t spam boards by visiting once and posting an advert everywhere. It will give you a bad reputation - not what you need to increase sales.
Check the regulations of the board to be sure signature lines are allowed. Some forums strictly prohibit marketing of any type.
Revisit your posting frequently to address any replies. Also, add new postings of interest every few days to keep your business in the message board’s eye.
Message boards and forums can be a very valuable marketing tool. While you’re at it, be sure to check out the fun topics, too!

Opthalmologists need a lot more than all their experience and training; because what they need preeminently are the very best tools to do the job to help them get solutions as rapidly as possible. This short piece discusses three necessary tools, concentrating on assessment, the comfort of your patients, and storage and accessibility, and what to keep in mind when buying each: be they used, new, refurbished or remanufactured.
On the market in multiple styles like applanation, non-contact, dynamic contour, pocket, and handheld disposable models, the tonometer is used to track intraocular pressure. In alignment with your desires you may use only one style or employ an assortment of variant models. Check that the tonometers you decide to order are top quality. These optometric instruments make for a major difference to diagnosis, particularly when providing both ease of use and accuracy. You require a chair that can do more than just keeping your clients where you want them: your chair needs to be able to keep them comfortable for as long as the appointment will take. Any decision you make on examination chairs must consider both comfort and positioning; the best chairs can aid the smallest and largest patients alike in reaching the appropriate point. All the equipment you use has to be stored away, and for preference in a place which can be got at easily when wanted. Ordinarily this necessitates a treatment cabinet with certain mandatory characteristics — secure locks, leveling glides for use on uneven flooring, and so on and so forth. Cabinets like these are easy to bring to whichever part of your practice needs what they contain and to contain the instruments you need. Take care to buy a cabinet which will not be too big to move about at moment’s notice. Three of the items of optometric equipment that will affect how well you do in your job are the exam chair, the tonometer, and the treatment cabinet. You should, therefore, start your shopping activites only after precisely determining your requirements. Of course, acquiring unwieldy or inaccurate gear can only exasperate you, but the more painless to handle and the more ergonomic your tools the more efficient you’re likely to do. Make the right choice, and you’ll find yourself amazed at how easy this can make life in your practice.
As you’ll surely be able to discern, the equipment purchase decisions you take will be certain to have a considerable influence on how you perform in your professional task, and, let’s remember, the development of your entire practice.

Very often, when purchasing a new car, people are faced with the decision of whether to lease or buy their next vehicle. They will automatically ask themselves the question - is car leasing better than buying?
The answer? Well, it’s very subjective and is really down to the specific needs of the individual making the purchase.
Essentially, they are two different methods of financing your next car purchase - a loan will finance the purchase of the vehicle, whereas leasing will finance the use of it - deciding which option to take will depend on a number of factors - do you want a new car every 2/3 years with low repair and maintenance risk? Would you prefer full ownership and a long term saving over low monthly payments?
To help you fully understand the difference - if you are to buy a car you pay for the full cost regardless of how many miles you will drive in it. Generally, a car buyer would make a down payment and then cover the rest of the value and additional costs incurred via a long term loan. The car is then yours to do with as you please - sell it at a later date or part exchange it at its depreciated value.
Whereas if you are to lease, also known as contract hire, you are paying for a fraction of the car’s value - that which you will use during the term of the lease. At the end of this, you may return the vehicle with no obligation to buy.
Other factors that may help you decide will depend on if this is a business or personal car leasing deal. You should also note when leasing you will also have to take gap insurance into consideration which covers the payment shortfall if an accident occurs before the payment plan has been completed.
The best way to think about it is this - the short term cost of leasing is generally less than that of buying whilst the long term cost of buying is less than that of leasing. After that, it’s more than likely to be a question of full time ownership vs a new car every 2/3 years. In any case, there is no definitive answer to suggest which one is best, that’s entirely up to you, but be sure to fully understand the difference before making your decision.

Outsourcing your mail server and spam removal to a hosted service reveals several advantages
With rising volume of spam e-mails that drain a substantial amount of companies financial resources and eat bandwidth, outsourced hosted server could give them freedom from this headache and increase their productivity.
You need the Internet for your daily activities both privately and professionally, but when a major part of it contains unwanted e-mails and malware, is suddenly is a factor that creates stress and frustration for the entire organisation from IT administrators to end users.
The world wide web continues to spread out and becomes available to more and more people - young and old - spam follows this spread out trend resulting in increasing time and finansial resouces spend on filtering junk mail from legitimate mails. It is very common to underestimate the cost of getting rid of spam - the reason is that is just takes a couple of seconds to remove one single spam e-mail. But when spam mails suddenly appear in hundres or thousands on a daily basis it becomes a serious problem - consuming time and users’ focus.
Junk mails are more than just irritating in their nature, they also put significant stress on the entire operation of a company because they occupy network and waste bandwidth. Every unsolicited message delivered uses bandwidth and in some cases spam account for nearly 50% of the entire network.
A slow and ineffective network hits all businesses - from the large companies the have their own dedicated team taking care of IT securiry to small businesses, that has a smaller budget for online protection. Furthermore, governments at all levels - local and regional - have tried to implement legislation aimed at spammers, unfortunately this has not helped fight spam sufficiently as spammers are able to continue their criminal activities using the latest and most advanced technologies.
Spammer have set up their underground base with access to widespread networks of mail servers combined with advanced and custom technology. A number of studies have shown that spam are draining financial resources and posting security threats to organizations by exposing their networks to malware, spyware and other malicious codes.
Such security threats stress the need to implement advanced malware detecting on hosted mail servers to decrease the cost of operating and protecting the internal network from collapse. Oursourcing all mail services can especialy help companies to remove the online threats caused by spam.
A strong argument for using outsourced hosted services for mail is the amount of time companies save becayse the no longer have to worry about handling hardware, software, integration and maintenance of the spam filter. Trained and experienced personnel keep and eye on their systems 24/7 and ensure removal of all spam before it is passed to the company’s internal network and the end users.
The responsibility removing all spam before it reaches the end users is now placed at the outsourced hosted mail server, and understanding the entire process is now much easier for less technical users.

Never in my life would I have thought that I would suffer from hair loss. I was astonished to notice that my hairline was receding shortly ahead my 30th birthday. It was rough to think that I was losing my hair. I was also starting to bald on the back of my head.
For the first time in my life, I felt old. I felt like the best years of my life were behind me. I even ceased seeing girls. My love life was nearly non-existent. There was one girl I had been dating nonchalantly and even though I liked her, I just stopped returning her phone calls. I realised that I hadn’t found the woman of my dreams with a full head of hair so there was no way I was going to find someone with my growing bald spot. I was too discouraged to even try having a loving kinship.
Hair loss transformed me in to a depressed loner, I was always a confident and socialable guy. I was very determined to address the issue and get the problem fixed. I started trying several hair loss treatments that are available in the counter. I have tried every single treatment and solution obtainable from the chemist, none of it worked. After many failures, I decided to stop trying for a while. It was a real low point in my life. I even stopped going out with my friends, I was so deflated.
Luckily, one night a good friend of mine took me out for a few drinks. He had noticed that I appeared a little down and thought he knew why. He told me about the hair loss studio in the city. My friend had gone there for hair loss treatments and had been impressed with the results. I was even more impressed. I wouldn’t have thought that he had suffered from hair loss, he had a full head of hair. He made me promise to give them a shot and I agreed.
I could not have been happier with the hair loss studio recommended to me. After just a few hair loss treatments, I had a full head of hair again. The results were outstanding, they did not just give me my hair back but also my self-confidence.

An employee’s death at workplace caused the operations director of a pet food company to be penalised for his failure to provide adequate safety measures to workers. The director was held personally responsible for the tragedy.
The accident occurred at the factory of Butcher’s Pet Care Ltd. when employee John O’Connor was using a palletising machine. The machine takes cans from the conveyor belt and arranges them into stacks on pallets. O’Connor was killed when he stepped into the palletising equipment to clear a blockage there. He entered the machine using a gap in the stair rails that had not been fenced off. When he cleared the block, the machine started moving and it dragged him inside the moving parts, killing him instantly.
The machine is designed to function automatically on sensors without any human intervention. It should ideally have been secured so that no one could enter it while it was running on power. However, the employees of the company were in the habit of walking in and out of the machine when blockages occurred by using the stair rail gap, which had not been filled in.
The operations director of the company, Philip Thompson, was charged with breaching Regulation 11(1) of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. He was asked to pay a fine of 10,000 pounds and additional costs of 4,000 pounds after he accepted liability for negligence that led to the incident. The hearing was held at Northampton Crown Court.
Speaking about the incident, HSE Principal Inspector for Northamptonshire Neil Craig said that had the director fulfilled his obligations to ensure safe working conditions for the employees of the company, such an accident would never have happened. He further pointed out that working on dangerous equipments puts the lives of all the employees at risk.
Craig criticised the company for failing to secure the gap in the rails for nearly two years, and added that if O’Connor had escaped the accident, someone else would have been a victim.
