Mobile Broadband Technology Cheaper Option for Small Businesses
A report by Analysys Mason, the reputed telecoms analysts, states that it is possible for small businesses to save money by using mobile broadband technology. The report also says that apart from being cheaper than a Wi-Fi hotspot, there are many other advantages of using mobile broadband technology.
The cost of using mobile broadband services is less than 10 pounds a month and many service providers offer business mobile broadband packages. These packages also feature larger download limits and have better technical and customer support. Many packages though targeted towards individual consumers are also suitable for businesses (see mobile broadband with free laptop deals). BT in fact offers free mobile broadband for companies using its sub 30 pounds per month business broadband packages. These, among others were the key points that were highlighted in the report aimed at educating readers on the benefits of mobile broadband technology
The report states that small businesses could end up saving over two thousand pounds every year by choosing to use mobile broadband instead of Wi-Fi hotspots. This is primarily because a WiFi connection can cost as much as £700 per employee per year when all the associated costs are considered.
Steve Hilton, who is a Principle Analyst at Analysys Mason, commented that small businesses forget that though the technology expense seems negligible when considered individually it actually amounts to a lot when you have many employees. By taking advantage of simple solutions like mobile broadband, small businesses can reduce operating costs significantly.
