Touring Australia, travelling from Sydney to Melbourne on the coast line was one the greatest experiences I have gone through. There was beautiful scenery, lots of things to do and sociable Australian people.
There are numerous car rental Sydney and car hire Melbourne options and that’s unquestionably the handiest way to experience the coast. Car rental companies are eager to help you arrange the tour of your dreams. I discovered a great one way special to Melbourne at a car rental in Sydney.
I embarked on my journey by heading south from Sydney through the Royal National Park. I was blown away by the Grand Pacific Drive, it was exciting. I spent a few hours in Wollongong and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many coastal villages along the way before spending the night at Jervis Bay.
The next day I boarded a cruise to see the resident dolphin population that Jervis Bay is famous for. I fell in love with the beaches and had a hard time deciding whether to stay or go. Further south I managed to buy some great, high quality craft items in the historic villages of Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba.
I swam in the lagoon at Mimosa Rocks National Park and then drove a little further stopping to watch surfers at Tathra Beach. That evening I lodged in the stylish village of Metung and had a tremendous seafood platter in one of the lakeside restaurants.
Wilsons Promontory National Park is home to great scenery and an abundance of wildlife such as emus, wombats and kangaroos. I spent an entire day hiking through eucalypt forests, exploring beaches and coves and climbing on granite mountains.
Next destination was Fish Creek, a tiny, eccentric and thriving town with arts and crafts, books and cafes. I took the bridge over to Phillip Island, a popular family stop. At Nobbies Centre you can watch the penquins strutting up and down the beach and see one of Australia’s largest fur seal colonies.
I ended my trip in Melbourne making my last stop at the working heritage farm on Churchill Island. Hiring a car was the single best decision I have made, taking the coastal drive from Sydney to Melbourne at my own pace was truly an eye opener. Next time I may get a car rental in Melbourne and do this trip the other direction!

I am passionate about going on holiday, I find that there is nothing better than treating yourself to a pleasant weekend in the sunlight after a rocky month. When tenseness has got to you and you’re sense groggy a weekend in the sunlight rejuvenates you and organizes you for the everyday stress of your job.
Although getting to your weekend away in the insolate can be a bit of a pain yet it’s worth it when you make it.Keep in mind airport parking is errorless for these situaions but we will talk over more on that later. The great thing about going away for the weekend is that as long as you don’t over pack - you can take your overnight things as hand baggage saving you valuable time.
I do notice that getting to the airport can be a hassle. I wouldn’t want to get a taxicab there as it will be pricy and sometimes risky. I as well hate it when cab drivers settle to have an in depth chit-chat with you when all you want to do is get into a restful state for your up coming vacation. I also detest the fact taxi drivers either drive way too fast or too slow! Then a portion of the time the seats have greases that you would rather not know where they came from!
I prefer to get there my self so you can take as long as you want and not have to talk to random individuals. The trouble is airport parking can be costly. If you look out for parties who do airport parking you will save a great deal of cash which you can use towards expenditure money on your holiday. You park just outside of the airport and then get taken into the airport by drivers who are friendly and helpful.

Remain aware of veiled fees, etc.
Visit the reservation page, then you learn that taxes plus fees come up to more than $45. Include a 10 % sales tax, something called an automobile license fee of nearly $18 as well as an “arena fee” of $7.19. Straight away I’m paying in excess of $25/day. Keep that in mind after you come across rates less than twenty dollars a day advertised. angle written by Liam
Airport rentals are best to stay away from.
If you plan to pick the rental automobile at an airport, there can also be an additional “airport tax.” So while it’s generally very convenient to hire an automobile at an airport, remember that you would pay for the privilege. angle from Dan
Decline the cover
There might be truthfulness in their stories, but the chances are slim that you’ll need any of this cover. It is very probable, though, that your existing auto insurance plan back home covers charters too. Get your agent to verify this. angle from Mike
In smaller places, reserve the smallest possible automobile
Many North Americans who charter automobiles no not enjoy driving small cars. Rental companies are aware of this, and they habitually order more medium and large sized automobiles.
